MQ Development Co., a Dallas-based firm focused on acquiring and developing retail projects, has acquired a historic Oak Lawn building for its new headquarters.
On June 11, MQ purchased the 2-story, roughly 10,000-square-foot building at 4622 Maple Ave. Built in 1992, it once housed the Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce but has since been vacated and was headed for foreclosure.
That allowed MQ to snap up the property for the right price, Sands Harris, the firm’s director of development, told the Dallas Business Journal. MQ is now working to renovate the building, including installing new insulation and air conditioning systems and plumbing fixtures.
