Out-of-towners hankering for a taste of the Wild West when they visit urban can check into a new Texas themed hotel.

Called the Texican Court, the 152-room hotel opens its doors next month near Irving’s convention center. Designed as a western-style roadside motel, the buildings take design cues from the Alamo and is building around three courtyards with swimming pools.

A project of Houston-based Valencia Group, the property is described by the builders as “a unique blend of Mexican and the Lone Star State cultures.”
