Investors who six months ago bought one of downtown Dallas’ landmark skyscrapers are seeking new partners in the deal.
Dallas’ Dundon Capital Partners and Woods Capital purchased the 37-story One AT&T Plaza for an estimated more than $250 million.
Telecom giant AT&T occupies all of the 965,800 square feet Akard Street high-rise as part of its 4-block downtown headquarters.
The new owners have now hired commercial property firm CBRE to offer “qualified investors the opportunity to acquire an interest of up to 90 percent in One AT&T Plaza.
The building is fully leased to AT&T until 2031.
And the company is currently spending more than $100 million to upgrade its entire Dallas campus on the south side of downtown.
Dundon Capital Partners and Woods Capital purchased the skyscraper from Icahn Enterprises, a unit of billionaire New York investor Carl Icahn’s property firm.
More than 20 potential buyers made bids for the tower before the recent sale.
