Japan-owned developer plans McKinney industrial park

An Atlanta developer plans to build a McKinney industrial park with almost 1 million square feet of space.

The McKinney Logistics Center will be on State Highway 5 north of Wilmeth Road.

Core5 Industrial Partners, which already has numerous warehouse projects in North Texas, plans to build the four-building, 65-acre project, according to information filed with McKinney’s Planning and Zoning Commission.

“The proposed site plan consists of four industrial warehouse buildings ranging in size from approximately 130,000 square feet to 385,000 square feet,” an engineer for Core5 told McKinney planners in the filings. “In addition to warehouse buildings, Cypress Hill Drive is proposed to be extended through the subject property as part of the proposed development.”

Core5 says on its website that the first 129,914-square-foot industrial building will be ready in mid-2020.
